Who do I call for service?

For typical service issues such as connection problems, printing issues, password changes, new users, Internet failures, etc., please contact the Help Desk at 410-527-0072 x170. You can also email them if you would like at helpdesk@choicetech.com. If you would like to establish a policy for who is permitted to call the Help Desk (in order to control billable time), we can arrange that. Help Desk hours are Monday-Friday (excluding a few holidays) from about 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. If onsite labor is needed to address an issue, Help Desk will coordinate this with Choice’s scheduling department.

Can Choice Technologies fix my problems remotely?

In most cases our Help Desk can fix problems remotely. This saves you time and money, and allows for quick turnaround of support calls.

How does the remote support program work?

Remoteus is used by the Help Desk to solve your issues remotely. The program is accessed from our website; the program needs the end user’s permission to run on their PC. The end user can end the session at anytime, while the program is running on the pc the user can see everything the technician is doing on the screen at anytime. The program runs without any need to configure firewalls or any additional programming. Once the session is complete it notifies the user that the technician has been disconnected.

What if I want to upgrade my network or current support plan?

Call 410-527-0072 and ask to talk to an account manager. We provide a free needs analysis to help point you in the right direction and answer technical questions. Your account manager’s time doesn’t cost you any money.

How does Choice Technologies handle night and weekend requests?

For emergency service (including off hours and weekends), please contact the emergency line at 410-527-0072x175. An on-call technician will receive the call and proceed appropriately. Please keep in mind that these are for emergency issues only, and service calls will be billed at emergency/overtime rates. If the on-call technician is unavailable for some reason, you can also contact your account manager by emailing sales@choicetech.com.

How do I know if my backups are working?

Choice Technologies can audit your backup system and make sure all important files are being backed up and check for errors. We also make recommendations as to the best way to back up your data
